Well I've just finished Bill Bryson's Down Under I picked up in a second hand book shop. I knew Australia was large and full of deadily animals, but I hadn't quite realised until now quite what the scale of it was. It looks like it would take years/decades to explore it, and you'd get bitten, stung, eaten, etc in the process. I may have to extend my time there!
What? Because you don't think you'll have time to get bitten, eaten and stung enough??? xxx
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better I didn't see anything deadly when I was there. Well except for the in the wildlife park. But then I didn't really go bush either.
ReplyDeleteWow, a busy few days. Watch out for the sharks when you get to the Great Barrier reef, where you'll see signs tellings the range of ways of being done to death.
ReplyDeleteAfter the strikes in France over the increase of the retirement age, which has included blockades of the refineries, we hope finally to be able to get back to the UK this weekend after Matilda's birthday "gouter".
So, will finally see the garage in Lincoln next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are going to be done to death in Australia try and a make it magnificent; a great white or a croc at least; but not a black widow. Preferably don't be done to death.
Dad
What an exciting life you are leading at the moment - and we get a trip to Lincoln. Nice as Lincoln is it's not quite as exciting! You will love the Great Barrier Reef when you get there.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to reading your next installment.
